I am a fully qualified and insured Sports Therapist, certified Pilates Instructor and Personal Trainer. I carried out my sports massage training in 2010 and in 2019 completed my MSc in Sports Therapy at London Metropolitan University.
I am a full member of both The Sports Massage Association and The Society of Sports Therapists.
I played international level lacrosse for over 10 years, competing in two World Cups and it was during this time that I first experienced the benefits of good quality sports massage for reducing muscular soreness, tightness, fatigue and for preventing injury.
Now as a mum of two, county league hockey player, and regular runner; I also understand the benefits of sports therapy to the non-sportsperson or weekend athlete, for reducing stress or tension within the body, as well as relieving and resolving that nagging ache or pain.
Since qualifying as a health professional, I have worked with Wales Lacrosse Women's team and travelled to the European Champioships as part of their medical support team. I also regularly work with recreational athletes across a range of sports, from table tennis, to running, cycling and triathlon.
I thoroughly enjoy combining my love of sport, exercise and competition with practicing sports therapy and I continually look to progress my skills and keep abreast of developments within physical therapy and rehabilitation.
As well as completing my MSc in Sports Therapy in 2019, I also qualified as a Personal Trainer in 2019 and then in 2020 I carried out my Pilates instructor training, with Stott Pilates and was certified later that year.
